Trip to Monterey • Oct 13-16, 2007

The Monterey area is a special for us. John spent many family vacations here as a child, his grandparents lived here for a few years. The area from Monterey down the coast to Santa Barbara is also such a beautiful drive with amazing scenic trails and special hidden spots to rest and enjoy the California coast. This was Jordan's first trip to Monterey and second airplane ride, which he handled like a seasoned traveler. We wanted to share with him the natural beauty of this place in hopes that he'll fall in love with this area just like we did. We walked around the Wharf, spent time in Cannery Row, explored Pacific Grove, visited the Aquarium and played at the Dennis the Menace park. But the highlight of the trip for Jordan was watching the elevators at the hotel, and riding all three of them up and down, over and over again. Also see Monterey Aquarium and Dennis the Menace Park.
