Jordan's 3rd Birthday • June 17, 2008 (party on June 22nd)

Our little boy turned 3 this year - can you believe it?! Where did the time go? This year, Jordan already understood what birthdays were all about. You get to sing happy birthday, blow candles, eat cake and you get to have a party and invite friends over. That's exactly what we did this year. On his actual birthday which was on a Tuesday, Ms. Jessica brought some cupcakes and we sang and blew candles (over and over again) at breakfast. Then the big party took place on the weekend and it was just a wee bit out of control. We had close to 20 kids and 30 adults come over, and surprisingly the house survived and nobody got injured. We transformed our backyard into a kid's wonderland with a huge waterslide (thanks to our good friends the Trocchio's), a kiddie pool, sandbox, water table, climb & slide and a playroom inside equipped with arts & crafts supplies & train table. It was a jungle theme party (check out his invites!) so Auntie Meliza made an awesome alligator cupcake centerpiece, and by request from the birthday boy, we also had Dirt & Worms for everyone. Next year we're going to Chuck E Cheese!
